Doing From Being - How Do You Do From Being

In our world, where the relentless pursuit of productivity often overshadows true fulfillment, there's a deeper truth that many of us are beginning to grasp. It's the understanding that our most meaningful actions stem not from endless striving but from a profound state of inner presence and alignment - and what is created from that. This is the essence of "doing from being." For those of us learning the nuances of higher consciousness, this concept resonates deeply. But how do we truly embody it in our everyday lives? How do we let our actions flow seamlessly from our authentic selves, and what transformations can this bring?

Let's explore the profound shift that occurs when we live in harmony with our natural state of consciousness and see how it can redefine our approach to life's challenges and opportunities.

The Essence of Being

To "do from being" means to act from a place of complete inner calm, presence, and alignment with our truest selves. It’s about tapping into our natural frequency and state of consciousness, where actions flow effortlessly from our state of being rather than from a forced, frantic need to achieve.

Imagine living in a state of flow, where you are fully immersed in the present moment, and your actions are a natural extension of who you are. How do you know when you are in this state? It feels like time stands still, everything clicks into place, and there is a profound sense of ease and joy. This is the sweet spot where true, impactful doing arises.

A Personal Story of Being

A few weeks ago, on my birthday, I engaged in an activity that many might consider a noble act of doing: feeding the homeless. It was a structured, planned event, convenient to prepare for and fulfilling to complete. However, the true challenge came when the need for help hit me closer to home.

Someone in my family found themselves without a place to stay. Fresh from a retreat focused on being, I faced what others might think is an “inconvenient” situation that demanded more than just logistical solutions. It required me to be fully present, to support and listen from a place of calm and flow.

Being There for Someone in Need

Helping a family member in crisis pushed me to confront my own inner landscape. Initially, the situation felt like an inner contraction—a tightening of my desires for independence and freedom. I had plans to become an empty nester, to travel and explore new horizons. How could I reconcile these aspirations with the immediate need to provide support?

But in this inner contraction, I discovered the potential for outward expansion. By shifting my focus from doing to being, I realized that my role wasn’t just about solving problems for this person but about being there for them. It wasn’t merely about what to do next, but about how to embody presence and compassion. Being there for someone meant listening, taking time, and understanding.

Action Through Inner Knowing

Navigating this challenging situation from a place of being wasn’t without its difficulties. But I found guidance in asking myself, “What would my higher self do? How can I solve this situation from a place of being?”

In this process, I learned that action driven by inner knowing (from being), rather than fear or obligation, brings about the right decisions. Every choice made from this place of alignment opens up new possibilities and pathways, leading to freedom, liberation, and joy.

When we act from a place of inner knowing, we often find that situations resolve themselves with greater ease, bringing unexpected solutions, deeper connections, and a sense of fulfillment. This approach allows for more harmonious outcomes, where joy, freedom, and connection naturally arise, reflecting the true essence of living in alignment with our higher consciousness and the universe. This process has never not worked for me. And yet, I am always pleasantly surprised when it does!

The Expansion of Being

When we act from a state of being, we align with the universe. We find that every decision, no matter how challenging, is an opportunity for growth and expansion. It transforms our inner contractions into outward expansions, allowing us to navigate life's complexities with grace.

Ultimately, living from being is about trusting that the universe supports us in every step we take. It’s about recognizing that our true power lies not in the frantic pursuit of doing but in the serene, steady state of being.
